CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – Kutztown University men's basketball's Yahmir Satterfield (Philadelphia, Pa./Imhotep Charter) and women's basketball student-athlete Shannon Remolde (Philadelphia, Pa./Saint Basil Academy) were named to the Lehigh Valley Small College Basketball Organization's (LVSCBO) Scholar-Athlete Teams, as announced by the group.
Satterfield, a sophomore guard from Philadelphia, made the KU Dean's List this past fall with a 3.3 cumulative GPA at the following of the Fall 2024 semester while averaging 7.3 points through 33 career games. He established career-highs with 25 points and six 3-pointers in a game against West Chester on Jan. 17, 2024.
Remolde holds a 3.97 cumulative GPA through the Fall 2024 semester, earning a spot on the KU Dean's List while being named both a PSAC Scholar-Athlete and a D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award honoree during her time with the Golden Bears. The redshirt junior has played in 74 career games with 41 starts, tallying 254 points, 152 rebounds, 101 steals and 76 assists in her time playing for head coach Janet Malouf.
The LVSCBO is made up of six small college institutions from around the Lehigh Valley, including Division II schools East Stroudsburg University and Kutztown University, along with NCAA Division III's Cedar Crest, DeSales, Moravian and Muhlenberg. The two KU student-athletes and other regional athletic and academic award winners will be honored at the Lehigh Valley Small College Basketball Luncheon in mid-February.
The Kutztown basketball teams host East Stroudsburg on Wednesday, Jan. 29, with the women tipping off at 5:30 p.m. and the men following at 7:30 p.m.
